The DUAL M8 SP140025 special screw from Sloting Plus is a small component with a critical function: to serve as a support and alignment base for the motor shaft during the process of inserting or extracting pinions. Made from A303 stainless steel, it comes with a 10-year guarantee against breakage under normal usage conditions.

Function and performance

This screw acts as a support point in the UNIVERSAL pinion extractor-press and in the Sloting Plus UNIVERSAL SINGLE press. Its design is intentional: one of its faces features a conical profile specially developed for motors with dual shaft exits. Thanks to this geometry, the shaft automatically seeks the centre of the screw and aligns perfectly with the opposite end, eliminating the risk of bending during operation.

It is also suitable for motors without shaft exits, which extends its utility to nearly all slot car motors available on the market.

Points to consider

This DUAL M8 screw is not compatible with the UPSILON horseshoe press from Sloting Plus. Its use in that press may damage the plastic support holding the motor. Always check the press model before use.

The 10-year warranty covers breakage of any of its parts. Excluded are marine oxidation, wear from normal use, and damage resulting from impacts, scratches, or handling inherent to the correct use of the product.
